Nearshore Senior QA Engineer
Sobre este empleo
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of QA engineering experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Strong automation experience — Playwright or Cypress
- NUnit experience — building and maintaining automated test suites
- API testing proficiency — Postman, REST Assured, or similar
- Experience testing complex integrations and third-party vendor systems
- SQL proficiency — ability to query and validate data at the database level (PostgreSQL or SQL Server)
- Cloud familiarity — AWS or Azure, plus containerized deployments (doesn't need to be deep)
- AI-assisted development experience — hands-on with both Claude and GitHub Copilot
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Ownership
- Own the end-to-end QA strategy across the full-stack platform — frontend (Next.js), backend (C#/.NET), APIs, databases, and integrations
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites covering functional, regression, integration, and E2E scenarios
- Build or substantially extend automation frameworks — this isn't a "maintain what's already there" seat
- Define and enforce automated quality gates across the CI/CD pipeline — nothing ships without passing the bar you set
- Own test environments, test data management, and QA documentation
Integration, API & Data Testing
- Lead QA coverage across critical third-party integrations — credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion), dealer systems (DealerTrack, RouteOne), fraud and verification providers
- Validate REST API contracts, retry logic, idempotency, and edge case handling
- Query and validate application and integration data at the database level using PostgreSQL or SQL Server
- Test DEFI Solutions loan origination workflows — scorecards, rules, decision flows, and operational data
Collaboration & Process
- Embed directly with engineers and product — participating in sprint planning, story grooming, and design reviews to catch issues before a line of code is written
- Partner with the Tech Lead to align QA practices with overall engineering standards
- Serve as the quality voice in the room — advocate for the end user and the integrity of the platform
- Bridge between nearshore squad and US-based stakeholders
Tooling & Automation
- Build and execute UI and web automation using Playwright or Cypress
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using NUnit
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools — Claude and GitHub Copilot — to accelerate coverage, test case generation, and analysis
- Own the automation stack end-to-end, from framework design to CI/CD integration

- Experience with Selenium or another browser automation framework, in addition to Playwright/Cypress
We're looking for a Nearshore Senior QA Engineer to own quality across a modern full-stack lending platform — and to own the automation framework it runs on. This isn't a checkbox QA role — you're embedded in the squad, shifting left, catching issues early, and building the test infrastructure that lets the team ship with confidence. Real ownership from day one on a high-visibility engagement. This is an automation-first seat: if you've only maintained someone else's test scripts, this probably isn't the right fit.
The platform includes a Next.js frontend, C#/.NET backend services, REST APIs, PostgreSQL and SQL Server data environments, and a network of third-party lending integrations.
