Full Stack Engineer (Mid-Level) - Backend / AI - 100% Remote (Belo Horizonte, Brazil)

Near Horizons, a technology staffing and software services company serving U.S. clients, is looking for a Full Stack Engineer (Mid-Level) with a strong backend focus for our client Boost Results, an innovative healthtech SaaS platform (ABA / behavioral health) in the U.S.Location: Remote, must reside in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. You'll be mentored and supported by a fellow team member from Boost Results who is also based in Belo Horizonte, making the onboarding and learning curve smoother.Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# and .NET (Core/8/9) Contribute to backend architecture with a focus on modular, testable, and extensible design for AI-driven features Support the integration of LLM-powered capabilities into production workflows (document processing, intelligent scheduling, predictive analytics) Develop database models and write quality SQL queries Write unit and integration tests (xUnit), including basic evaluation of AI-based logic Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions Work with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps) and containerization with Docker Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams, taking ownership of features end to end, with guidance from senior team membersRequirements: Native or fully fluent English (spoken and written), daily direct communication with the U.S.-based client 2-4 years of professional software development experience Working knowledge of C# and .NET Core Experience with SQL Server (schema design, basic query optimization) Familiarity with RESTful APIs Willingness to learn and grow into AI-integration work (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI) under mentorship Comfortable working in a remote, English-first environment Based in or able to reside in Belo Horizonte, BrazilNice to have: Any exposure to LLM APIs, RAG, embeddings, or vector search Familiarity with Clean Architecture or DDD concepts Experience with Azure (App Services, Functions, Storage) Familiarity with Python Interest in AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)Benefits: Career growth within a tech company serving U.S. clients Competitive compensation Formal employment 100% remote work Ongoing training and professional development AI-first engineering culture, daily use of tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor Direct mentorship and support from a fellow Boost Results engineer based in the same cityCulture: Dedicated, high-performing engineering teams that work as an extension of our clients' organizations, combining strong technical talent with seamless cross-border collaboration.Job Type: Full-time
